BEACON HOLD - a sample game built with MotaEngine
=================================================

Two teams, Amber and Azure, fight over three beacons on ruins floating above
the clouds. Stand on a beacon to capture it; every beacon your team holds
charges your spire. The first full spire wins, or the higher one when the
clock runs out. There are no weapons: dash, double-jump and fire a short
pulse that knocks rivals back. Knock someone off the ruins for a ring-out.

Play against bots on your own, or online with up to eight players (bots
fill the empty seats): Play Online joins Motaware's public server.

Start: the Beacon Hold shortcut (installer), or double-click BeaconHold.exe.

Anyone can host one: the server is the same game run with --server (see the
MotaEngine samples page for the Docker image).

Requirements: 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 and a Vulkan 1.3 capable GPU with
current drivers.

Your name, settings and logs are saved in %LOCALAPPDATA%\BeaconHold.

Beacon Hold is written in C++ against the MotaEngine SDK; its models, music
and sound effects are generated by scripts. The full project ships in the
MotaEngine source (projects/BeaconHold).
